Baked Broccoli Angel Hair

Pasta is delicious on any occasion, there is no doubt about that. And each one combines with different ingredients. In this case, we will mix it with broccoli and some other ingredients, to obtain a delicious dish that is also very healthy. Baked Broccoli Angel Hair Recipe

A quick lunch or dinner that will impress everyone at the table. It is very easy and, above all, delicious. You can bake it or not (depending on the appetite of the diners).

Ingredients:

  • 350 g of angel hair pasta
  • 35g butter
  • 10g flour
  • 350 ml milk
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 20g pesto
  • 6 g of chopped parsley
  • Grated parmesan cheese to taste
  • 1 pinch of salt and 1 pinch of pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • 250 g broccoli
  • 450 g shrimp
  • 3 heads of garlic + 3 cloves

Utensils:

    preparation:

    Spaghetti with pistachio cream

    • Put water and a handful of salt in a pot. Add the angel hair paste and cook for about 10 minutes or until al dente. Strain and reserve.
    • In a skillet, melt 1 ½ tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the flour, milk and cream. Stir well with a wooden spoon, until you have a homogeneous and thick cream. Now add the pesto, the 3 minced garlic cloves, the grated Parmesan cheese, the hot sauce and the Worcestershire sauce. Season to taste. Reduce the heat and let it cook.
    • Meanwhile, put some water and a pinch of salt in a pot. Pour in the broccoli and cook until tender. It will take you more or less 6 minutes. Strain.
    • Melt the rest of the butter in a skillet and sauté the shrimp with the 3 minced garlic heads. Salt to taste and cook for about 5 minutes (until shrimp are pink).
    • Grease a square baking dish and add the pasta first, the shrimp second, and the broccoli. Pour in the sauce, sprinkle with the grated cheese and bake for about 5 minutes to gratin … and everyone to the table!

    • Tips: Instead of Parmesan cheese you can choose another that melts more, such as mozzarella, tybo or cheddar. Don’t forget to sprinkle with the chopped parsley to give your dish a different flavor.

    Pesto sauce

    If you wish, you can prepare the pesto yourself by mixing:

    • 2 tablespoons basil, chopped
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 drizzle of olive oil
    • ¼ cup pine nuts, chopped

    Pass everything through the blender and voila.

    Worcestershire sauce has:

    • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
    • 170 grams of fresh radishes
    • 2 onions
    • 3 tablespoons jalapeno peppers
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 pinch of salt and black pepper
    • 2 cups of water
    • 4 cups of vinegar
    • 1 cup molasses
    • 2 cups corn syrup
    • 30 grams of anchovy fillets
    • 12 cloves
    • 1 lemon, peeled

    preparation:

    • In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and brown the garlic, pepper, radishes and onions, all finely chopped. Add the lemon, cloves, anchovy fillets, corn syrup, water, vinegar, molasses, and jalapeno peppers. Salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
    • Reduce the heat and cook 1 hour covered. Remove and let it cool slightly before transferring to a glass jar. Store in the fridge and use as many times as you want.
